Peru stocks lower at close of trade; S&P Lima General down 1.55%
Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining, Industrials and S&P Lima Juniors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 1.55%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 5.77% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.0550 at the close. Meanwhile, Bco Continenta (LM:CON) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 4.100 and Compania Minera Milpo SAA Class I (LM:MILi) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 2.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 8.96% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.610 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 7.14% or 0.060 points to end at 0.780 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 6.76% or 0.029 points to 0.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 30 to 3 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) fell to 52-week lows; falling 8.96% or 0.060 to 0.610.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 4.78% or 3.54 to $70.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $74.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.08% or 13.60 to trade at $1241.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.33% to 3.2800, while EUR/PEN fell 0.01% to 3.8363.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.67% at 94.48.
